Biography:

Dr. Weitzman is the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Long Beach Medical Center, Long Beach, NY. A practicing cardiologist since 1983, Dr. Weitzman graduated summa cum laude from New York University, where he was also Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his post-graduate training and cardiology fellowship at Bellevue Hospital and New York University Medical Center in New York City. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Weitzman is a lead or contributing author of a number of scholarly articles which have been published in Circulation, Cardiology Board Review and other publications.
